Description
The Lead Industrial  Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots and performs repair work on all facility electrical, electronic and automated systems in an industrial environment and provides training and guidance to Industrial Electricians and Electrical Trainees.

Responsibilities
*Install, maintain and repair secondary electrical systems, such as but not limited to general wiring, lighting and communication systems
*Follow all safe workplace practices, comply with all applicable safety rules and actively participate in safety programs.
*Help identify critical spares as well as ensure routine parts inventories and kept in supply or are ordered as needed
*Install, maintain and troubleshoot PDCs, rotating equipment, motor drives and associated control systems
*Effective cross-departmental communication on identifying and troubleshooting equipment problems
*Perform and improve preventative and predictive maintenance practices
*Assure all employees adhere to safe work practices
*Maintain documentation on equipment calibrations and equipment tests
*Adhering to and improving established training practices for Electricians and Trainees
*Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and documentation and initiate revisions where applicable
*Support mechanical, operations, capital project planning and implementation and other continuous improvement initiatives
*Work closely with Supervisor, IT personnel and electrical personnel to maintain and improve all documentation related to process control system configuration including SOP’s
*Help establish and follow daily work schedule activities to meet maintenance objectives.  Estimate materials and time needed to complete activities to ensure completion of tasks

Requirements & Abilities:
*Check and repair all types of AC circuits to 480 volts (3 -ph, single phase, motor controls, motor troubleshooting and control circuits hard wired or PLC logic)
*Perform full control integration from electrical and instrumentation design to PLC and HMI integration
*Replace defective electrical control devices with the same type or brand or by using a substitute
*Must be a team player with ability to train, teach and provide guidance to trainees
*Working experience with Allen-Bradley Control Logix, RS View, and Panel View
*PLC software and read, modify or troubleshoot program code
*Use a PC/laptop computer to pull-up
*Working experience with steam, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
*Knowledge of PC’s, Networked systems, IO servers, Auto Cad, Windows NT/XP, and related software
*Use multi-meter, am probe, and other testing equipment for checking circuits, voltages, currents, continuity, etc
